This skill can then be applied to other areas of their lives, such as emotional help, buying things, booking holidays, socialising, and so on.

  • 43 CHARISMA 2 - THE SOLUTION Students learn that it is never too late, or things are never so bad, that one cannot make it better. After the determination to succeed, the most crucial move is the making of a PLAN.

HOW TO MAKE PROGRESS

  • 45 THIS IS ME! Students look at how they feel about themselves and identify whether or not they are feeling negative or positive.
  • 47 MIRROR, MIRROR... Students consider what they are good at and what they are not so good at. This is only meant to be on a simple level, as there will be opportunities for deeper self-examination in later lessons.
  • 49 I CHOOSE SELF-ESTEEM Students learn about the meaning of self-esteem and about a way of improving their self-esteem.
  • 51 THE CALM MIND This page teaches students that their state of mind affects many aspects of their life and that helpful thoughts and behaviours tend to come from the 'calm mind'.
  • 53 CALM DOWN! This page sets out the benefits of learning how not to overreact and of having a calm mind.
  • 55 WHAT PEOPLE SAY These activities help students to understand the need to have - as part of their plan - a strategy to deal with negative comments and negative people.
  • 57 I WANT TO BE HEALTHY Students are taught how to develop a health plan and why it will benefit them.
  • 59 COMMITMENT This lesson sets out the extra opportunities for development that may be available and how to make a commitment to take advantage of these if they should arise.
