Inclusion Resource Bank

Price: £299.00
Age Range: KS3 and KS4

The complete resource for inclusion of isolated students.

  • 288 worksheets
  • across six key subjects
  • and two key stages - for mixed ability.

Many school inclusion co-ordinators already use Chalkface resources to great effect. The Inclusion Resource Bank was written from scratch to fulfil the following criteria:

  • To provide a broad choice of curriculum materials across subjects, key stages, and topics, so that work assigned to students in isolation can be aligned with that of their regular classmates.
  • To be usable by the student without teacher intervention; the materials can be used at home, in an internal isolation unit, or even in hospital.
  • To cater for students across the ability spectrum by supporting a range of differentiation strategies.

Inclusion resources cover:

  • Maths
  • English
  • Science
  • PSHE
  • Citizenship
  • RE

The British values and Citizenship resources are very good for some of our students but the documentation is very 'school' related and we are an FE College. Perhaps there could be a review of materials to take out those very obvious references to 'school' and to try and be more inclusive of the wider education sector and its vast range of education providers.

A good range of topics/activities with generally clear instructions. A sensible approach to the issue of providing good quality resources for students removed from the classroom. However the difficulty level of many seemed rather high (complex instructions rather than short, simple points). This could be a disadvantage with students who are weaker academically or if the member of staff supervising is not confident in that subject.

A very useful addition to our inclusions packs as they are now rather dated! Chalkface as always have provided us with some new material! Sadly whole pack is too expensive for us at this time!

I liked the citizenship resources and can see how I may use them as an English teacher. I didn't think the English resources were that detailed/helpful.

I have not used the resources as my classes do not start for another few days. However, I have used previous downloads as extensions for some of my lessons. Chalkface have provided an excellent variety of maths resources. Unfortunately as sessional staff I am not guaranteed maths teaching hours so cannot justify buying the whole package.

L Brock at Brune Park Community School

I was looking for materials for students who are: excluded, included within school but in isolation, on a part-time timetable, looked-after children who are temporarily moved out of area, on alternative curriculum which has a distance learning element and those on a flexi arrangement with home. This one pack covers all of these and being both cross-curricular and cross-key stage fits the bill on all scores. I will be making up a number of booklets which will then be available throughout our school.
