Drugs Use and Abuse

Price: £25.00
Age Range: KS3 KS4

Help your students examine the positive as well as negative aspects of drug use with these thought-provoking resources. Students debate why someone might start to use drugs, including for cultural and religious reasons, and discuss ideas for changing behaviour.

Drugs worksheets and lesson plans examine the types of drug that KS3 and KS4 students are likely to encounter, and presents the long and short term effects from the point of view of both a user and a doctor.

Other lesson plans and drug worksheets deal with peer and advertising pressure; the costs and consequences of drug use; the impact on individuals and society; how to communicate with medical staff and where to go for help. For Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Great help on a very new theme we introduced to our children, Drug Awareness Campaign. Resources were ideal to be used with students of all ages.

The resource meets all the objectives of knowledge and understanding of drug use, as well as the opportunity to explore decision-making and building self esteem

There are clear instructions for use in the introduction and in the form of teachers notes for each worksheet. A teacher with little or no understanding of drug education would find the resource supportive and easy to use
